ATEB is the Association of Corporate Treasurers in Belgium, an association of professionals in the field of treasury. It is a not-for-profit organization. Our main goals are sharing experience, practical cases and workable solutions amongst our members based on full trust and confidentiality.
We represent the profession in Belgium and offer education programmes together with other associations of the financial sector (see www.febelfin.be). Our association has around 200 members. ATEB is member of the European Association of Corporate Treasurers (www.eact.eu) and of the International Group of Treasury Associations (www.igta.org).
Letter of the Chairwoman
As previously announced, Jef Van Osta has resigned in order to pursue other career opportunities and it is with pleasure that I send out my first newsletter as new Chairwoman of the ATEB Board.
As indicated in the March General Assembly I will try to lead the ATB organization to the best of my abilities and this will probably be different compared to our past Chairs.
I think I can safely say that Change will be the main theme you will see occurring in our approach.
The whole Board is excited about picking your brains on how we can improve our offering, finding ideas for topics and workshops that will interest you and increase your active participation to the ATEB program.
Please reach out to anyone of us if you are willing to participate or offer any ideas or opinions.
We will continue to increase our level of communication and partnering up with the EACT and other National Treasury Associations, which should help all of us on getting better, faster and more insightful visibility on what the legislators have in mind for us in order to keep us busy.
Please already mark your agenda’s for our annual Treasurer’s Day scheduled for September 21 & 22. The format of the Treasurer’s day has changed a bit and we will host a dinner on the 21st preceded by round table sessions. We are working on finalizing the program, which we will share with you shortly but already unveiling a tip of the mystery the main theme will be Change. Surprise :-)
Some things of course will not change. Our invitations to renew your membership fees, at the same price as last year, will be sent out this week, so please do not forget to renew your membership.
Program for the rest of the year is being developed and will be shared on the website as it is being finalized. Please visit us at http://www.atebforum.org to find out more.
The year-end cocktail will take place on December 15th and we are in full search of a nice location for this.
All the best and talk to all of you soon.
Thanks and regards
