ATEB is the Association of Corporate Treasurers in Belgium, an association of professionals in the field of treasury. It is a not-for-profit organization. Our main goals are sharing experience, practical cases and workable solutions amongst our members based on full trust and confidentiality.
We represent the profession in Belgium and offer education programmes together with other associations of the financial sector (see www.febelfin.be). Our association has around 200 members. ATEB is member of the European Associations of Corporate Treasurers (www.eact.eu) and of the International Group of Treasury Associations (www.igta.org).
Letter of the Chairman, February 2015
Time is flying and we're closing in on the end of the second quarter and hopefully a sunny and relaxing summer. In the first half of this year ATEB has organized and/or participated as an Association to 10 events covering a wide range of topics, with two events and a training initiative still scheduled for June. We have notably a few seats left for the training sessions on June 11th or 12th on the influence of emotions on decision-making (for example in respect of hedging) and how to improve.
During the summer we will have no formal events, but we will use that time to roll out a new website, with new features and a new look.
As of September we will resume our program, of which the dates can be consulted on our website in the events section. We encourage you to already pencil those events into your calendar, especially our main event, the Treasurer's Day, scheduled on October 22nd.
I would also like to take the opportunity to draw your attention to a very different topic. As you might know we traditionally select every year a non-profit charitable organization to which we donate EUR 5,000. If you are close to an organization, which you feel could be a candidate for this donation, please reach out to any of our Board members prior to September 1st.
On behalf of the ATEB Board I would like to wish you a great summer and we look forward to meeting you soon at one of our events.
